Each custom-made piece is handcrafted in our workshop, according to the specifications you have approved. Here's how an order progresses, from quote validation to delivery.

Quote Validation

The quote you receive details the model, chosen leather, dimensions, finishes, and total price. It is valid for 7 days. Payment of the deposit signifies acceptance of the quote and all conditions described on this page.

Once the deposit is paid, manufacturing begins. Any modifications requested after this point cannot be guaranteed; if technically possible, they may incur an additional cost and an extended lead time, which will be communicated to you before being initiated.

Two-Step Payment

Payment is made in two installments:

50% upon quote validation, to initiate manufacturing and material purchase.
50% once the piece is finished, just before shipping. You will then receive a second email containing the payment link for the balance, where you can enter your delivery address.

The piece will only be shipped after the balance has been collected. Both payments are made by credit card, via a secure payment page.

Nature of the First Payment

The first 50% payment constitutes a deposit, and not earnest money as defined by Article L214-1 of the French Consumer Code. It firmly commits both parties: us to manufacture and deliver the ordered item, and you to pay the total price.

In the event of cancellation on your part after manufacturing has begun, the deposit will be retained by the workshop: the materials have been purchased and cut for your order and cannot be reused. If the workshop were unable to fulfill the order, the deposit would be fully refunded to you.

Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Article L221-28 3° of the French Consumer Code, the fourteen-day right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalized.

A custom order falls within this scope: it cannot, therefore, be returned or refunded after delivery, except in the case of a manufacturing defect. Our standard catalog items, however, remain subject to the usual withdrawal period.

Lead Times

Manufacturing time is a few days/weeks from the receipt of the deposit. It is confirmed on your quote. Shipping then takes 7 to 9 days.

These lead times are given in good faith. An exotic leather out of stock at our tanner, or an unforeseen workshop issue, may extend them: you will be informed as soon as we know.

Manufacturing Defect

If your piece has a manufacturing defect, please write to us within days of receipt, with supporting photos. We will take it back and repair it, or remake it if necessary, at our expense. The legal guarantees of conformity and hidden defects apply in all cases.

Natural wear of leather — patina, softening, signs of use — is not a defect. This is what our pieces are made for.
